A Group Registered Savings Plan (GRSP) is similar an individual RRSP, except administered on a group basis

• employee contributions matched in whole or in part by employer, union or association
• employer contributions are tax-deductible by the employer as salary payments
• employer contributions are taxable to the employee as salary received
• not locked-in → employee can cash out according to terms of plan
